Led by Kade Munday (4-14), the Hurricanes restricted Latrobe to 9-115 despite 53 from Trent Keep.

Opener Nick Revell (49 from 39 balls) led the home side’s reply but after some nervous moments, the Hurricanes got there in the end with three balls and two wickets in hand.

Ulverstone confirmed its spot in the semi-final with a tight six-run win over Sheffield at UCI Oval. Batting first, the Black Caps reached 5-134 thanks to an 80-run stand between James Smith (40) and Jacob Snare (28).

The Mountaineers reply looked on track at 2-83 in the 14th over thanks to Aiden Marshall (33) and Richard Miles (24) before losing 3-13. They recovered to need 14 runs off the last over but couldn’t reach the target.

In the final game, Devonport finished on top of the ladder after an five-wicket win over Wynyard.
